DESCRIPTION:On 26 August\, the University of Latvia (UL) will hold its traditional “Welcome Day”\, during which new exchange and full-time international students will get acquainted with the UL environment\, the study process\, and extracurricular opportunities.\nUL has been organising “Welcome Day” for international students for several years\, and the event is always well attended. It gives students the opportunity not only to receive practical information useful for their studies and everyday life\, but also to get to know the UL community\, one another\, and Latvian traditions.\nStudents will be addressed by UL Rector Professor Gundars Bērziņš and representatives of the UL Student Council. During the day\, students will receive practical advice on studies\, emotional well-being\, and safety\, hear inspiring stories from senior exchange students\, and\, at the end of the evening\, try Latvian dances and games together with the UL folk dance group “Dandari”.\n“Welcome Day” will take place at the UL House of Science in Riga\, Jelgavas iela 3. All the new exchange and full-time international students who will start their studies at UL this year are invited to attend.
