SAB (Scientific Advisory Board) for the newly established FMLS (Faculty of Medicine and Life science) was formed shortly after merger and FMLS management structure development at the end of 2024. SAB of FMLS consists of eight internationally renowned scientists from various disciplines covering all principal areas of FMLS. The SAB will review FMLS scientific progress on an annual basis and will give recommendations for the development of the faculty.
The main task of the council is to make recommendations on the faculty's scientific development strategy. Its areas of work include:
- advising on the management and development of scientific directions of the faculty Medicine and Life Sciences, incl. examples of good practice;
- advising on the development of contemporary research directions;
- suggesting opportunities for interdisciplinary cooperation;
- consulting on the improvement of doctoral study programs;
- consulting about opportunities in creating new research cooperation channels;
- consulting on techniques, tools and indicators for the sustainable development of science and innovation and to facilitate decision-making for the allocation of funding
